OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2007. The Russian Institute of Directors and "Expert RA" Rating Agency (the "RID-Expert RA" Consortium) ranked CenterTelecom among the Russian leaders in corporate governance, with a score of "7+," which corresponds to good practice of corporate governance.
 
The Consortium believes that this score reflects low corporate governance risks and the fact that the company satisfies the requirements of Russian legislation on corporate governance, most of the recommendations listed in the Corporate Code of Conduct and a number of recommendations reflecting best international corporate governance practices.
 
The Consortium published the results of a corporate governance rating of Russian companies for 2006, using a new numeral scale which is a more precise way of estimating corporate governance risks.
