US' ConocoPhillips, a holder of 20% in LUKOIL estimates its share of company's net profit for 3Q 2007 at the level of 387 mn USD, says a report of Veles Capital with reference to ConocoPhillips. Share of profit owed to ConocoPhillips was calculated according to 20.6% portfolio of LUKOIL held by US company, excluding treasury notes. Forecast is based on market indicators and historical trends of LUKOIL's production. Hence, LUKOIL's net profit of US GAAP 3Q 2007 is estimated at 1.88 bn USD by ConocoPhillips, 22.5% below similar value of 3Q 2006. Decrease of LUKOIL's net profit is explained by ConocoPhillips with growth of operating costs. Nevertheless, ConocoPhillips estimates LUKOIL's net profit of 9 months 2007 at 5.68 bn USD versus 6.44 bn USD of previous year. Veles Capital analysts estimate LUKOIL's financial results for 9 months 2007 close to 6.6 bn USD. ConocoPhillips expects its slice of LUKOIL's hydrocarbon extraction of 3Q 2007 at 432 thousand barrels per day.
