OREANDA-NEWS.  On 7 February 2008 was announced, that “Gazprom” delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of company management Valery Golubev visited FSUE PO “Sevmash”.

Today enterprise realizes one of the greatest projects of national gas concern – building of marine platform “Prirazlomnaya” Guests visited Hull prefabrication-welding and slip-way shops, outfitting quay, where platform is moored. Enterprise Director General Nikolay Kalistratov told about process of marine equipment building. Actual issues regarding MISP “Prirazlomnaya” building were discussed within this meeting. On the 4th of February there was a working meeting between ZAO “Sevmorneftegaz”, “Gazprom” subsidiary, which is direct customer of the platform.

Marine ice-resistant stationary platform “Prirazlomnaya” is meant for development of Prirazlomnoye oil field in Pechora Sea. Platform is meant for all the year round production drilling in extreme climate conditions (pack ices, low air temperatures), is equipped with derrick, two cranes, helicopter platform, living quarters for 200 persons.

Design Bureau “Morneftegazproekt”, CDB МТ “Rubin”, CDB “Sevmash”, Design Bureau “Korall” (Ukraine), “Brown&Root” (Great Britain) took part in MISP designing. Design Bureau “Prometej” designed grades of cold-resistant steels especially for “Prirazlomnaya”. Metal roll was produced by “Severstal”, Sevmash designed welding materials, taught and qualified welders.

Structurally “Prirazlomnaya” consists of support caisson of gravity type and upper structures. Caisson is made from four super blocks, which are built in Sevmash shops and connected with each other afloat using underwater welding. Unique operation on assembly marine platform took place in 2006. At present time constructing works on “Prirazlomnaya” upper structures are being carried out.

Now Sevmash is the leading Russian manufacturer of marine platforms. Enterprise was updated with participation of “Gazprom”. Hull plating shop, Hull prefabrication-welding shop and slip way shop, Electrode fabrication shop were refurbished, up to date gas cutting, prefabrication-welding and painting equipment were installed, 400-tons floating crane was purchased, outfitting quays were equipped, dredging works were performed. From 2005 marine semi-submerged platforms of MOSS CS-50 type are being built for export. In September 2007 the first platform was handed to “Moss Mosvold Platforms AS” (Norway). At present time pontoons of the second platform are being formed on slip way. Objects for developing Shtockman gas condensate field are prospective orders.
