OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22, 2008 a team of specialists of the Gomel-based production corporation Gomselmash has left for Kazakhstan to organize an assembly production of combine harvesters at the Kostanai Diesel Works.

The Belarusian specialists plan to start working this week, it was learnt in the sales department of the Belarusian company.

Gomselmash and OAO Agromashholding Kazakhstan concluded an agreement on assembly production setting up in late 2007. A significant part of spare parts and machinery will be produced in Kazakhstan. This kind of industrial integration allows Belarusian producers to have some preferences such as customs payments reduction and others.

Last year the Kostanai Diesel Works assembled two experimental samples of combine harvesters which were displayed at the national exhibition BelarusExpo 2007 held in Astana on September 12-14. Combine harvester KZS 7 became a prototype model of the new machine. In March this year, 54 assembly sets of the combine harvester were supplied to Kostanai. A part of them will be assembled in the presence of the Gomel specialists.

Gomselmash considers the cooperation with Kazakhstan as promising. The first batch of the Belarusian combine harvesters was supplied there last year only. However, in 2008 the total sum of the concluded contracts for the delivery of the Gomselmash machinery to Kazakhstan exceeded \\$5 million. Apart from the assembly sets, Gomselmash intends to supply 20 combine harvesters KZS 7 and two combine harvesters KZS 1218 to Kazakhstan.
