OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2008. While speaking at “Physical Nuclear Safety Culture” seminar in Tomsk, IAEA expert Jerzy Knapik said that Russian nuclear power plants were well protected from different threats, particularly, from terrorism. He said that the personnel of Russian nuclear power plants were highly qualified and pointed out that many countries owning nuclear weapons ensured high level of nuclear safety and Russia was among them.

He also presented IAEA’s work and asked the public to show understanding. He said that not all people living in this world were angels. There are lots of ill-wishers and IAEA is setting psychological, physical and technical barriers in their way.
