OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 August 2008 was announced, that a residential complex, a new building for the Department of Internal Affairs and a retail centre are to be raised in Yuzhnoportovy township, southeast Moscow.

“A large retail centre is to appear on 7th Kozhukhovskaya Street in the township by 2010. It will be the third mall in the southeastern district. It is also planned to commission a huge residential complex on 1st Mashinostroeniya Street and to lay out a public garden on the bank of Kozhukhovsky Zaton,” Vladimir Zotov, prefect of the southeastern administrative district of Moscow, said.

The designing of a new building for the local Department of Internal Affairs on Yuzhnoportovaya Street, bldg 8-10 will be commissioned soon. The district police officers will be able to move into new rooms by 2010, the prefect added.

According to Mr Zotov, 2 kindergartens are to be raised on Velozavodskaya Street and Melnikova Street in 2009. It will enable to remove a queue to the preschool institutions existent in the district. Two schools, No 469 on Simonovsky Val and No 513 on 2nd Mashinostroeniya Street, are to undergo reconstruction.

A project aimed at shifting the transmission facilities under the ground in the area between Novoostapovskaya Street and Yuzhnoportovaya Street is currently being elaborated. It will enable to decide a number of social issues – to add a primary school building to school No 462, to raise a multilevel parking garage and to build a new kindergarten.
