OREANDA-NEWS  On 01 November was announced, that 15 large sports objects are to appear in north Moscow by the end of 2010.

“15 large sports objects scheduled to be commissioned from 2008 to 2010 are currently under construction in the northern district,” Yury Khardikov, prefect of the northern administrative district of Moscow, said.

According to the official, CSKA football stadium and CSKA multipurpose sports complex are under construction in the neighbourhood Khoroshevsky, a sports and recreation area for Dynamo water stadium is being developed in Voykovsky neighbourhood, a mixed-use sports and rehabilitation centre is going up on Leningradsky Avenue, Juan Antonio Samaranch tennis centre is being erected in Golovinsky neighbourhood, an 18-hole golf course is being set up in Molzhaninovsky neighbourhood and a number of other objects are being built as well.

Besides, 7 sports and fitness complexes are also to be put up in north Moscow.

“If we want to give the today’s young sportsmen, the future champions, an opportunity to realize their potential, in the first place it is essential to provide them with all conditions for training,” Mr Khardikov added.

There are more than 100 various sports facilities in the district today.
