On 11 January 2008 was announced, that December 24, 2008 became a historical date for the National Airport Minsk because of one millionth passenger who arrived from Moscow (Domodedovo airport) on the regular flight of Belavia. The owner of the lucky ticket was named a resident of the Republic of Belarus, traveling from Kemerovo to Minsk via Moscow.

In this connection Belavia-Belarusian Airlines provided for the winner servicing in Domodedovo business- class lounge and upgraded the class of onboard service. The most pleasant gift waited him at the Airport Minsk: the millionth passenger was given a certificate which permitted him to fly with Belavia free of charge once during the year 2009 on any of Belavia regular routes chosen on his own.
