OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2009 was announced, that according to preliminary statements, the aggregate written premium of IJSC Ingosstrakh in the Urals Federal District of the Russian Federation for 2008 amounts to RUR2bn, or 61.2% more than in 2007.

The size of written premium in voluntary insurance other than life insurance was reported to amount RUR1.8bn (+63.0%), including RUR383.4mln (+72.8%) in private insurance, RUR1.4bn (+63.0%) in property insurance and RUR31.3mln in liability insurance. The size of written premium in compulsory motor TPL insurance was RUR237.8mln (+49.3%).

The payments made by IJSC Ingosstrakh in the Urals District under direct insurance contracts in 12 months 2008 amounted to RUR934.4mln, including RUR279.7mln in voluntary private insurance, RUR489.1mln in property insurance and RUR1.5mln in voluntary liability insurance. The payments made under compulsory motor third party liability insurance arrangements amounted to RUR164.1mln.

The most dynamic areas of business for the branches of IJSC Ingosstrakh in the Urals Federal District in 2008 were private and property insurance.

The leader in terms of written premium is the Sverdlovsk Region with RUR518.6mln, followed by Chelyabinsk with RUR416.1mln. The payments in these regions amounted to RUR250.4mln and RUR248.2mln, respectively.
