OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2009. CJSC "Crimea TITAN" hit record high in August 2009 – TiO2 production reached a record 9144 tonnes for the first time since the plant started its work.

In spring, as a result of 'gas war', the company management set up a task for the staff to reach the design TiO2 production capacity. In May the plant produced 6.5 thousand tones of TiO2. In June and July 8500 and 8900 tonnes were produced respectively. Gradual increase in production was observed from the first days of August, and by the end of the month long-awaited amount of 9144 tonnes of titanium dioxide (planned capacity after the reconstruction) was obtained.

High production results were provided by uninterrupted energy supply and minimum transitions in the product line.

Also after almost a year of shutdown due to lack of demand connected with high production costs and ex-factory prices (due to high prices of phosphate rock) 'Ammophos' workshop resumed its work in August. At present monoammonium phosphate is in demand, and shipments go full speed.
