OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2009. The first two stages of the development of Moscow’s fourth ring road are to be completed late this year.

“The development is divided into several stages. The first one includes the construction of parking for the vehicles from the garages to be removed from the area where the motorway is to be built,” Aleksandr Levchenko, head of the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering of Moscow, said at the 2009 International Forum City Build on October 19.

The official added that the second stage was to be the development of a section of the ring road from Entuziastov Highway to Izmaylovskoe Highway which was scheduled to be commissioned in 2009.

“The third stage consists of a lot of work to be done in 5 years. The work being done this year goes according to schedule. If the funds are allocated, it will go on next year,” Mr Levchenko said.
