OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2010. ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih was very honoured to receive Prime Minister of Ukraine Mrs. Yulia Timoshenko today at its head offices in Kryviy Rih. Mrs. Timoshenko informed the management of AMKR about the need to take into account the increased cost of living in Ukraine regarding the salaries paid by AMKR to its employees.

The management of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih informs that :

1 The company has recently started negotiations with the trade unions regarding collective labor agreement evolution, including salary increase. Those negotiations are not concluded at this stage. Respective changes to CLA will be announced in due course.

2 the company remains committed to fulfill its obligation according to SPA, including the social part. The average salaries currently paid by ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih are among the highest in the industry ( 3518 UAH in ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih against 3145UAH average industry as of November 2009, according to MetallurgProm statistics)

3 ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih will continue in 2010 to pursue its consistent policy of Health and Safety improvement, Social dialogue, and sustainable development of the competitiveness of the company.
