OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2010. The State Customs Committee (SCC) informs that for 2009 gas export totaled 671.7 million cu m for US125.3 million. In December gas export was 50.714 million cu m for US 17.863 million versus 42.415 million cu m for US 8.148 million in November, 65.681 million cu m for US 12.746 million in October, 13.8 million cu m for US 2.5 million in September, no export was carried out in August, 7.607 million  cu m for US 1.5 million in July, 79.8 million for US 15.96 million in May, 151.3 million cu m for USD 22.3 million in April, 253.7 million cu m for US 50.748 million in February, 6.6 million cu m for US 1.65 million in January of 2009, 83.865 million cu m for US 16.77 million in December, 35.948 million cu m for US 7.389 million for November, 42.245 million cu m for US 8.649 million for October and 74.26 million cu m for US 15.05 million in September of 2008.

In March 2009, export was not conducted.

Gas was exported at the price of US 186.57 per 1,000 cu m for 2009, at USD 352.24 in December, US 192.12 in November, US 194.06 in October, at USD 181.97 in September, US 199.99 in July, US 200 in May, US 147.47 in April, US 200 in February, US 250 in January of 2009, US 199.9 in December, US 205.56 in November, US 204.66 in October, US 202.69 in September, and US 203.5 in July of 2008. In 2008 the country exported 369.788 million cu m of natural gas for US 73.87 million at the price of US 199.77 per 1,000 cu m versus US 197.67 per 1,000 cu m in 2007.

Country’s overall export made up US 14.698 bn for 2009.

For the past year the share of gas in overall export of Azerbaijan fell to 0.85% against 4.7% in November, 0.93% in October, 0.51% in September, 1.07% in August, 1.29% in July, 4% by 1st June, 2.11% by 1st May, 3.51% by 1st March of the year and 0.77% over 2008. The statistics registers only country’s own export not reporting details of gas export by international contractors from Shah Deniz field.

Azerbaijan has been net exporter of gas since 2007 and first of all due to Shah Deniz field.
