OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2010. A modular gas-fired boiler house was commissioned in Irbit. Alexander Misharin, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, took part in the start-up ceremony. 

This is the sixth gas-fired boiler house constructed by ZAO Regiongaz-invest (Closed JSC Regional Gas Investment), an ITERA affiliate, within the framework of its Investment Program for 2009 in the Sverdlovsk Region. The boiler house was constructed within a very short period of four months to replace a municipal oil-fuel boiler house. A block-module is fully automated. It has no service personnel, while it employs reliable equipment and meets all current technological and environmental standards. Its efficiency factor is as high as 98 percent, and the cost price of heat produced is only a half as much it used to be. ZAO Regiongaz-invest opened an Emergency-Dispatcher Service to perform precautionary maintenance in Irbit.

ITERA Oil and Gas Company has been supplying natural gas via ZAO Uralsevergaz (Closed JSC Urals North Gas) to the Sverdlovsk Region since 1999. It is an active participant in the Gas Supply Provision Program and the Heat Supply Infrastructure Development Program in the Region. EC ENECO and Regiongaz-invest, affiliates of the Company, are implementing projects intended to modernize old energy facilities and construct new local energy facilities, implement energy-saving technology and equipment. Sixty three boiler houses with an aggregate capacity of 465 mW, 432 kilometers of gas network, including 188 kilometers of main gas offset pipelines, have been constructed in the Middle Urals in the past years.

It is planned within the framework of a complex Program for Re-equipment of the Heat-generating Industry of the Region with the involvement of Vneseconombank, Administration of the Region and ENECO, that 233 boiler houses, 14 mini-heating plants shall be re-constructed and constructed, and over 100 automated energy consumption accounting systems shall be implemented. Allocation of Rubles 4.8 billion is expected for that purpose.
