OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2010. Directors of major international companies rank exhibitions above other marketing tools. Statistics show that, for the majority of companies, exhibitions account for 40% of sales. Trade shows are a perfect opportunity for making your company known as a serious business partner, assessing the competitiveness of your company’s products and learning about promising developments in your field of interest.

Iteca is one of the leading organisers of international trade and industrial exhibitions in Kazakhstan. In the spring of 2010, Iteca will organise two conferences in Atyrau and Almaty, as well as 14 exhibitions in Almaty, Astana and Atyrau.

The exhibition season begins on 2 March in Almaty at the Atakent Exhibition Centre. Two construction exhibitions, KazBuild Spring and WinTecExpo Kazakhstan, which are held in the same venue, will demonstrate a comprehensive range of building products and solutions on 2-5 March. The exhibition will bring together around 200 companies from 12 countries, including: Canada, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, UAE, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France and South Korea. Bavaria (Germany) will participate with a national stand for the second year.

Another construction event, AstanaBuild, will be held in Astana on 19-21 May in the Korme Exhibition Centre. This is the largest exhibition in the region, and has traditionally been an outstanding event and an important platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and the latest technical solutions in the construction industry. About 200 companies from 15 countries will take part in AstanaBuild 2010.

In spring, two oil and gas industry events are held in Atyrau: the Atyrau Oil & Gas exhibition and the OilTech Kazakhstan conference. The events take place on 6-8 April. The exhibition is held in the Atyrau Sports Complex, and will bring together about 100 companies from 10 countries. The two-day conference will be held at the Renaissance Atyrau Hotel, with about 100 delegates taking part.

Tourism and hospitality industry professionals show great interest in the following events: KITF, the Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair, and HOREX, the Central Asian International Exhibition ‘Everything for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets’. This year, KITF marks its 10th anniversary. In this time, the exhibition has cemented its position as the largest travel and tourism show in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The long-term support of the exhibitors and unprecedented number of visitors, as well as the fact that the show is included in the annual events plan of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), demonstrate the importance of the exhibition.

HOREX 2010 incorporates the exhibition, the ‘Cuisine Virtuoso’ culinary congress, and various contests, seminars and training sessions by participating companies. Over 50 companies from 10 countries plan to participate in the exhibition. They will demonstrate a range of products and solutions for successfully operating hotels, restaurants and supermarkets.

The next spring exhibition will be KIHE 2010, the Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition, which will be held on 12-14 May in pavilion 11 of the Atakent Exhibition Centre. The annual growth of this project is a clear indication that national health care is gaining momentum and international interest in Kazakhstan is increasing. Thousands of healthcare professionals from Kazakhstan and other countries will gather in Almaty for the KIHE exhibition. In addition, other events will be held alongside the exhibition, including: the Assembly of Doctors of Kazakhstan, and the Network Exchange of the German Industry Association of Optical, Medical and Mechatronical Technologies (SPECTARIS). The Network Exchange will be located at the exhibition.
