OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2010. Specialists of Reshetnev Informational Satellite Systems company continue ground validation and verification of new-generation satellite Glonass-K.

Currently, the experts perform tests of the antennae to be installed on the new satellite. The test sequence include measurement of antennae RF parameters, as well as EMC testing.

In parallel, two full-size Glonass-K EQMs for further TVTs and dynamical tests are being manufactured in the company.  Thermal vacuum tests (TVT) used to verify spacecraft operations in extreme thermal conditions are to be completed in April. The dynamical tests to begin in May imply verification of the spacecraft stability at vibration and acoustic loads, as well as the loads which occur during transportation and launch sequence.
