Engineering Center UES to Build High-Voltage Line
OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2010. JSC “EC UES” entered into contract with JSC “UES FGC” for construction of 220 kV high-voltage transmission line (HVL) from Ivanovskaya GRES power plant to the city of Ivanovo with extension of the 220 kV Ivanovo substation. Term of contract execution is December 2010. Total contract work value is over one billion rubles.
Under the Contract, experts of “Engineering Center UES” will develop the working documentation, fulfill the general construction work, installation, startup and adjustment; supply the equipment and do the adjustment of the supplied soft-and hardware facilities; they will also perform the staff training, commission the facility and provide for the guarantee maintenance.
A branch of “Engineering Center UES” – “EC-Networks” will be entrusted with implementation of liabilities under the contract. The branch of “Engineering Center UES” – “EC-Networks” unites experts in power engineering and construction of supply networks. The main professional activity of this branch is participation in execution of comprehensive engineering projects, construction of energy facilities, implementation of full scope installation effort in construction of high-voltage power transmission lines and substations.
Construction of a double-circuit high-voltage 220 kV line from Ivanovskaya GRES power plant to Ivanovo and extension of Ivanovo substation is intended for power delivery from the new power unit #2 (325 MW) of Ivanovskiye CCPP; the line length totaling over 25 km.
In the process of work at open 220 kV switchgear, the new substation equipment will be installed including eight complete sets of 220 kV SF6 circuit breakers (“Siemens”-made), 28 sets of 220 kV disconnectors, 24 sets of current transformers, 6 sets of 220 kV voltage transformers.
Commissioning of 220 kV high voltage power transmission line from Ivanovskaya GRES to Ivanovo and extension of 220 kV Ivanovo substation with the se of state of the arts electrical equipment, relay protection system and automated process control system will facilitate the improvement of power supply to consumers in Ivanovskaya and Yaroslavskaya regions.
