OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2010. With the view to continue cooperation with regional SME support funds RBD has signed a loan facility agreement with its partner – the Belgorod Oblast’s SME Support Fund (Belgorod). Pursuant to the agreement a credit line worth RUR 150 million was provided to the regional fund for a period of up to 3 years. The credit is secured by the government guarantee of the Belgorod Oblast, reported the press-centre of RBD.

The allocated resources are targeted to intensifying the fund’s micro-lending to SMEs in the Belgorod Oblast. The practice of cooperation with the Belgorod Oblast’s SME support fund has shown high demand for the resources under the Program among regional entrepreneurs.

“Interaction with regional SME support funds is an efficient mechanism to bring funds to the end-users. As early as today we observe positive examples of small enterprises that have received funding under the RBD’s Program”, mentioned Olesia Teploukhova, Director of SME Financing Department of RBD.

Belgorod SME Support Fund was founded in 2003. The fund is among organizations that form infrastructure of the government support to SMEs in the Belgorod Oblast. Pursuant to the Decree of the Government of the Belgorod Oblast Belgorod SME Support Fund is one of the executing agencies and participants of the oblast’s program “Development and State-Sponsored Support to Small Business in the Belgorod Oblast in 2007-2010”.
