OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. Siberian Agrarian Holding Group of Companies began the sowing works on the fields of its subsidiary agroholding in the Central Federal District of SAHO-Agro-Tula. In twentieth of April Tula agroholding SAHO began sowing of spring crops – wheat and barley.

In the Rostov enterprise of SAHO, as well as in the subsidiary agroholding SAHO-Agro-Ulyanovsk field works are carried out: additional fertilizing of winter crops and preparation to the sowing — harrowing and fall-plowed land cultivation. Enterprises of SAHO in Novosibirsk region and Altay Territory complete the repair of equipment and preparing to go into the field.
Productivity enhancement through optimization of crop rotation became the main task for all the agricultural enterprises of SAHO in the agroseason 2010. In prior years the Holding actively adhered to the farmlands, introducing fallow lands into some country regions. As a result at present SAHO is among ten largest Russian land owners, governing about 400 000 hectares of agricultural lands.
SAHO holds to the long-term strategic aim for formation of land bank with volume of 1 million hectares. However, at this stage, the Department of Agriculture note, it is necessary to optimize the structure of existing crop areas. Introduction of scientifically proven crop rotation will allow in the future getting perceptible effect: particularly, will give addition in the croppage of the following years and will increase its quality.
