OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2010. Starting from July 5, 2010 the market data refresh rate will be increased, following the successful completion of the scheduled stage of migration of the FORTS trading system to the Plaza-II technology. This will allow exchange members to react faster to the dynamics of the cash equities and derivatives markets.

Market data will be updated faster in the access servers of FORTS trading system thanks to the reduced sampling interval of the market data dissemination system. This decision was made after load-testing. The sampling interval will be reduced in two stages:

July 5, 2010 – reduction by 30% of the value as of July 4, 2010

July 8, 2010 – reduction by 30% of the value as of July 4, 2010

As a result, the rate of refreshing the market data will increase by 60%.

The target decrease of the sampling interval for the market data dissemination system on the Plaza-II platform is a three times reduction of the current value.

This change applies only to market data dissemination via the Plaza-II and FAST protocols.
