OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2010. “NIBULON” made a decisive step in the revival of the national river and sea navigation and the glory of Ukraine, as a country with powerful fleet and legendary traditions. Commercial fleet of the leader of Ukrainian agricultural market was refilled with another four unique non-self-propelled vessels, now the fleet consists of 24 vessels. Vessels constructed at OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” will transport up to two million tons of grain along the Dnipro River in the navigation period.

Chairman of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kruglov took part in the ceremony of launching of non-self-propelled vessels. He thanked the General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy because he is an example of socially responsible entrepreneur who gets the credit resources of the leading European financial institutions and creates new work places in Mykolayiv region. Moreover, as it was noted by Mykola Kruglov, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy is the one who began to restore navigation along the Southern Bug River, which will greatly unload the roads and improve the ecology of the region.

“NIBULON” is a unique company, which employs people who understand that it is necessary to act systemically, - said M. Kruglov. - They grow corn, construct elevators and the fleet, and promote domestic products on the world markets with the highest competition. There are no analogues of the company in CIS. Due to Vadaturskyy, who started this investment project fleet of “NIBULON” will enable to revive navigation along the Dnipro River and the Southern Bug”.

On the holiday in view of the launching of new vessels from the docks, General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy highly appreciated the dedicated work of shipbuilders who performed “NIBULON’s” order quickly, efficiently and in time.

Oleksiy Vadaturskyy told that “NIBULON”, being a patriot of Mykolayiv and Ukraine, gave preference to OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, but not Dutch company, on the right to construct tugs, although it is supported by Dutch government financially. Today workers of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” will construct tugs on the money of Dutch government.

“Our company is also grateful to Mykola Kruglov, because I can safely plan the work in Mykolayiv region, - said General Director of “NIBULON”.

Confirmation of the fact was the solemn keel laying of a new original tug. Overall, there will be constructed 14 push tugs on the stocks of the yard.

Moreover, in view of the further construction of new powerful transshipment terminals on the Dnipro and the Southern Bug, “NIBULON” will refill its own commercial fleet with another 20 non-self-propelled vessels. “Thus, the implementation of the investment program at a cost of nearly half a billion dollars will allow us, as the agricultural company, to create its own fleet with deadweight over 200 thousand tons, to create its own tugboat fleet and provide the largest freight volume along Ukraine by water transport”, - said the Hero of Ukraine.

General Director of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, Hero of Ukraine Mykola Romanchuk highly appreciated the cooperation with “NIBULON”. He said that it is reliable, responsible and promising to work with such a company. He promised to put into operation the first push tug with a length of almost 38 m and a width of 11 m in October 2010. Vessel will be able to develop a speed of 11.5 knots due to its powerful motor.

 “NIBULON” has already signed a contract with the Kherson Maritime School and the Odessa National Maritime Academy to serve the fleet, and it is ready to provide more than 300 sailors with work. O. Vadaturskyy is sure that these sailors will be proud to say: “I work in “NIBULON” and I transport grain along the Dnipro River.

Governor of Mykolayiv Mykola Kruglov, promised to support in every way the revival of navigation along the Southern Bug River and the erection of three powerful transshipment terminals on its banks.

Mykola Kruglov said: “We have decided that this month I will sign an order for the allocation of land. Oleksiy Opanasovych makes a project within a month, and in the next 3 months we will start the construction of modern terminals on the Southern Bug River in Mykolayiv region. In addition, we put a question about resumption of passenger service”.

Investment project of “NIBULON” on the revival of navigation along rivers of Ukraine  at a cost of USD 470 million, includes the construction of 57 non-self-propelled and self- propelled vessels, 14 sea and river tugs in particular, 17 elevators, 10 of them are transshipment terminals along the Dnipro River, the Southern Bug and other rivers. 24 non-self-propelled vessels and three tugs, three transshipment terminals (Cherkasy, Poltava and Zaporizhzhya regions) and five elevator complexes (Poltava region) are constructed and successfully put into operation.
