OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2010. All the formalities necessary to sell the shares of International Uranium Enrichment Center have been fulfilled. Vladimir Putin, Premier Minister of Russia reported about it at the meeting of the investment commission on August 4.

“All the necessary formalities on the Russian part have been fulfilled. We are ready to sell 10% of shares to our Ukrainian partners,’ – Putin said.

The head of the Russian government expressed confidence that such cooperation will allow a significant upgrading of the Ukrainian nuclear power competitiveness and will provide additional conditions to implement joint large projects in the nuclear power industry. According to him the center’s task is “to provide the non-nuclear countries with a stable access to the fuel for the nuclear power plants and at the same time to ensure compliance with the nonprofit regime”.
