OREANDA-NEWS. August 12, 2010. In accordance with the schedule approved by the Department of Municipal Services under Administration of Krasnoyarsk during the period from 0:00 August 9 up to 24:00 August 19, 2010 routine repairs will proceed at Krasnoyarsk CHP-2 necessitating hot water supply interruption.

Due to routine repairs during the period of August 9-19 supply of hot water will be discontinued to consumers within the Tsentralny, Zheleznodorozhny, Oktyabrsky and partly Sverdlovsky (from Zatonskaya Street) City Districts of Krasnoyarsk.

During the above period routine preventive and maintenance works will proceed at Krasnoyarsk CHP-2 including repair of shutoff valves, technical inspection of pipelines, delivery water reheaters and deaerators, control of delivery water pipelines metal material and weld joints.

For optimization of hot water supply interruption timing works at Krasnoyarsk CHP-2 will proceed simultaneous with heat network operations. Krasnoyarsk Heat Network will carry out repairs within the pipeline section from CHP-2 to the trunk network. One will have to perform regular engineering works for shutoff valves replacement, expansion glands packing and repair of pipeline sections outworn.

According to technical specifications and safety rules the actions listed above require plant equipment shutdown and heating network disconnection. All other actions on the repairs program including capital, midlife and current repair of the plant basic equipment, construction of heating network sections within the districts serviced by CHP-2 will proceed under routine operation without interruption of hot water supply to consumers.

Upon completion of the repair and maintenance works at CHP-2 and within the heating network that haven necessitated hot water supply interruption, on the August 19/20 night, one is to proceed with heating network filling and staged reconnection of consumers. Launch operations and reconnection of consumers will take approximately 24 hours; accordingly, supply of hot water is to be resumed during August 20.
