OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2010. OJSC Ilim Group, Russia’s major pulp and paper manufacturer, has launched a new project introducing electronic document flow and archive. The system in question is based on Extended ECM for SAP Solutions by Open Text Corporation. Project contractor is AveBrava, Open Text’s official partner in Russia and CIS.

The goal of this project is to reduce hard copy document flow within the Company by allowing the users access to electronic copies of the documents.

By the end of this year it is planned to create an archive for source accounting documents and automate certain processes related to financial documents approval. Automation of a number of business processes, both in the Head Office of the Company and at all its major industrial sites (Group Branches), is expected.

"Since the objective of this project, among other things, was to create some efficient tools for working with data stored in our SAP ERP system, the main reason to chose the Open Text solution was the opportunity for standard integration of this system with SAP solutions. Extended ECM will allow us to store electronically, structure and ensure access from SAP ERP to a large scope of documents, including scanned copies of contracts which are currently not easily available to users due to obvious reasons," says Irina Pirogova, Ilim Group’s IT Director.
