OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2010. The Competitive Purchases Department is set up as a new structural unit of Gazprom on the basis of the Tender Committee within the procurement system streamlining process.

The Department acts as a procurement management center for Gazprom Group. Its primary objectives are to pursue the Group’s unified procurement policy, to ensure strategic and operational management of procurement activities and competitive purchases for the Group’s needs.

The Competitive Purchases Department reports directly to the Gazprom Management Committee Chairman.

Mikhail Sirotkin is appointed Head of the Department.

Background

Mikhail Sirotkin was born on February 18, 1972 in Cheboksary.

From 1994 to 2000 – a legal adviser at commercial enterprises in Saint Petersburg. Between 2000 and 2001 Mikhail Sirotkin worked for the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg group of companies.

Between 2001 and 2003 – Deputy Head of Gazprom’s Legal Department, later on – First Deputy Head of the Department.

From 2003 through 2010 – First Deputy Head of Gazprom’s Asset Management and Corporate Relations Department. Between February and October 2010 – Chairman of the Company’s Tender Committee.

Since 2005 Mikhail Sirotkin has been Director General of Krasnoyarskgazprom. In 2009 he headed Gazprom dobycha Krasnoyarsk.
