Ukraine Conducted Congress of Employees Federation
OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2010. The VII Congress of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine took place. Its work on behalf of the Government was attended by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Tykhonov. He read the greeting to participants of the Congress on behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, who is now on official visit abroad.
"A powerful and competitive business is the key to prosperous country. Launching own business, you make significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian economy, provide jobs for citizens, promote strengthening of domestic manufacturers"- the Prime Minister welcoming address says.
In his greeting the Prime Minister also noted that today the Ukrainian citizenship employers become more active. "You are recognized as participants in social dialogue in collaboration with the Government and trade unions. This is evidenced by the recent signing of the agreement to regulate the basic principles and norms of social and economic policy and labor relations in Ukraine for 2010-2012. I am convinced that the implementation of the provisions of the agreement will create conditions for sustainable economic development of our country and provide significant quality of life improvement." The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the new freedom of business standards will promote the economic initiative of employer, the competitiveness potential of the country.
Addressing the Congress participants, Viktor Tykhonov said that building a country with strong economy, ensuring high social standards for each citizen of Ukraine regardless of residence, are impossible without the cooperation with employers organizations, including the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, which today are the driving force for economic development and are the trusted partners of the Government.
"This cooperation is an important factor for successful implementation of the proclaimed by President of Ukraine course of economic reforms. It is through social dialogue and harmonization of relations between governmental bodies, employers and trade unions we can overcome the today’s challenges"- Viktor Tykhonov said. According to him, due to cooperation of the Government, Parliament and social partners, including joint representative body of employers at the national level in 2010 we managed to make a series of measures to improve the situation in the pension system.
Viktor Tykhonov said that the supreme executive authority is ready for constructive dialogue. He wished participants fruitful work of the Congress and new achievements.
