OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2010. According to the analysis carried out by specialists, the concept of cluster in the textile branch represents a new vector for raising competitiveness and economic development, according to the Ministry of Economy’s press release.

The Ministry’s specialists emphasize that textile industry of Moldova provides production of competitive production and has a high potential for production and export growth. Moldova’s experience of cooperation with foreign partners including within the border cooperation and provision of textile enterprises with special tax privileges is an important moment. Besides, most textile enterprises have implemented ISO standards.

It should be noted that on October 13, the Ministry of Economy organized a “round table” in Chisinau to discuss outlooks of creation and development of clusters in Moldova taking into consideration Czech Republic’s experience in raising competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing efficiency and employment, introduction of new technologies, expanding access to lending.

Czech Republic’s representatives stated their country’s readiness to assist Moldova in creation of clusters, noting that the Czech government allocated 100,000 euros for implementation of this project.
