OREANDA-NEWS. January 03, 2011. Italy’s Drillmec S.p.A. is set to acquire 19% of shares of the Seismotekhnika company affiliated with the Belorusneft production association.

The relevant contract was signed by Financial Director of the Italian company Paolo Manzano and Seismotekhnika Director Oleg Alampiyev.

Beginning January 2011, the Belarusian company will produce fixed drilling rigs with the capacity of 345 tonnes under the Drillmec brand. The equipment will be made to the standards of the American Petroleum Institute. Two machines will be made for Belorusneft in 2011. Seismotekhnika plans to produce at least four or five such machines every year.

Drillmec has been working on the market of oil and gas equipment since 1929. Its machines can be found in over 70 countries worldwide.

Founded in 1966, Belorusneft is part of Belneftekhim Concern. The company performs oil exploration, well drilling, extraction of oil and associated gas.
