OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2011. Belarus’ average wage in nominal terms reached 1,428,300 Belarusian rubles (Br) [equivalent to USD 475.1] in November 2010, up 7.5% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went up 6.5% on the month. In January-November 2010, the average wage increased 13.2% on the year in real terms.

The average wage in Minsk reached 1.831 million rubles in November, in the Minsk Region 1.373 million rubles, in the Gomel Region 1.352 million rubles, in the Grodno Region 1.312 million rubles, in the Brest Region 1.292 million rubles, in the Vitebsk Region 1.311 million rubles, and in the Mogilev Region 1.307 million rubles.

In manufacturing, monthly wages averaged 1.545 million rubles, in construction 1.842 million rubles, in transport 1.594 million rubles, in telecoms 1.593 million rubles, in agriculture 944,200 rubles, in retail and public catering 1.174 million rubles, in healthcare 1.248 million rubles, in education 1.19 million rubles, in science 1.921 million rubles, in sports 1.786 million rubles, and in culture 1.163 million rubles.
