OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2011. The millionth tonne of imported broad sheets designed for the production of large-diameter pipes was dispatched at the Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port (ASCP) on December 2, 2010, for Vyksa Steel Works (VSW), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK). The related festive event was held at the Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port on the same day.

The festive event was attended by ASCP Director General Vladimir Titov, Arkhangelsk Region Minister for Industry, Transportation, and Communications Ernest Belokorovin, Northern Shipping Company Director General Aleksandr Bryntsev, First Deputy Director of the Arkhangelsk Department of Northern Railways Aleksandr Karpov, head of the Seashore Customs Station Andrey Poletayev, and other representatives of government agencies and business entities.

OMK and Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port have been partners for over 5 years. At present, the Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port accounts for more than two thirds of all the cargoes transshipped via the Russian ports for OMK.
