OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2011. Raspadskaya (RTS, MICEX: RASP) (ЃgRaspadskayaЃh or Ѓgthe CompanyЃh) informs of the completion of negotiations with the Russian consumers on supply volume and price level of coal concentrate for 2Q2011.

In 2Q2011, coal concentrate contract price for semiЃ]hard coal grades on FCA Mezhdurechensk basis increased compared to FebruaryЃ]March 2011 contract price of USD 156.0/tonne1 (RUB4,500/tonne) and amounted to USD 172.9/tonne2 (RUB4,930/tonne).

The Company continues to sell its hard coking coal in raw state. The price for this coal product is determined by conversion of coal concentrate price for this coal grade into the price for raw coal. The premium for quality of hard coking coal relative to semiЃ]hard coking coal amounts to around 12%.

The Company continued negotiating new contracts and extension of the earlier longЃ]term contracts with the key Russian consumers. These contracts reflect the CompanyЃfs plans on production recovery and growing demand for coal concentrate from Russian metallurgical and coke plants.

The Company also received offers for mediumЃ]term cooperation from several international companies and is currently considering them in terms of balance of demand and CompanyЃfs production volume as well as price dynamics on export markets.
