OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Mikhail Mien, Governor of the Ivanovo Oblast.

The meeting addressed the Cooperation Agreement implementation. Special attention was paid to the gasification and gas supply to the region. The parties noted that Gazprom and the Ivanovo Oblast Administration fully complied with the synchronization schedules for gasification facilities construction.

At present, Gazprom is engaged in reconstruction of the Kineshma gas distribution station (GDS) and construction of the Pistsovo – Podozersky – Koromyslovo inter-settlement gas pipeline as well as considering its possible participation in reconstruction of the Rodniki GDS and the Shuya GDS.

Alexey Miller and Mikhail Mien discussed the issues relevant to Gazprom's acquisition of gas distribution stations owned by various business enterprises including the regional authorities in the Oblast. It was highlighted that Gazprom would consider the proposals on purchasing the said facilities after receiving the necessary documents.
Background

 Gazprom and the Ivanovo Oblast Administration signed the Cooperation Agreement in 2004 and the Gasification Accord in 2003.

 Between 2005 and 2010 Gazprom invested over RUB 1.2 billion in the regional gasification. Joint efforts by Gazprom and the Ivanovo Oblast Administration raised the regional gasification level by 5.6 per cent – to 70.5 per cent. The identical figure throughout Russia averages 63.2 per cent.

 In 2011 Gazprom will allocate RUB 10 million for the completion of one inter-settlement gas pipeline.
