OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2011. AeroSvit was recognized the best Ukrainian Airlines of 2010 according to the results of the poll, conducted among travel companies and air carriages sales agencies.

The poll was arranged by Ukrainian Tourism magazine and was held from January till March 2011. Basing on its results, the editors’ office of the magazine rated the air carriers operating in Ukrainian market. In accordance with the rating, published in the magazine’s regular issue, AeroSvit has become the leader in six nominations at one time.

Apart from the leadership in the main nomination for national carriers (“The Best Ukrainian Airlines”), AeroSvit was also recognized as the most promising and the most rapidly developing Airlines.

AeroSvit was also awarded the title “The Best Regional Airlines” for the implementation of the program of point-to-point international flights from ’s regional centers. The total ticket sales volume for the carrier’s flights gave the agents grounds to confer the status of “The Best Selling Airlines" on AeroSvit.

In one more nomination – “The Best Airlines Performing Domestic Flights in ” – AeroSvit shares the top positions with Dniproavia, its partner on the routes connecting Ukrainian cities.

AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines, established in 1994, as of today is the largest Ukrainian air carrier.

In 2010 the airline launched regular flights on over 20 new international routes and substantially increased flight frequencies on the existing lines. Having formed new quality product, AeroSvit increased the volume of scheduled air carriages on international lines by а 54,1% according to 2010 results.

In 2011 AeroSvit plans to expand its network up to 80 international destinations in 33 countries, gradually launching new flights to destinations in and as well as cities in Central and Western Europe and South-East Asia.

AeroSvit also carries (jointly with its partners) passengers to ’s largest regional administrative centers, including Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Simferopol and Kharkiv.

AeroSvit has its own fleet comprising of 13 medium–haul Boeing 737 and 7 long–haul Boeing 767 aircraft and operates its partners’ aircraft - Airbus 320, Airbus 321, Embraer 145, Embraer 195 and Antonov 148 - on several routes.
