It was reported by representatives of the National Power Regulating Agency, saying that these are the approximate calculations, while the precise cost of gas, supplied to the country starting from July 1, hasn’t been yet called by Gazprom and will become known at the end of the first decade of July, when all oil products price growth dynamics data for the last nine months, taken into account in the gas price formation formula, are known.

The increase in the tariff for final consumers will depend on the increase in the purchasing price for gas. Under the legislation, it is to be revised if the deviations are higher than 5% of the previous price, taking into account other components of the tariff, including the MDL exchange rate against the USD.

The price for Russian gas for Moldova in the first quarter of 2011 totaled USD 288.71 for 1,000 cubic meters, in the second quarter 2011 - USD 322. According to forecasts, growth of prices for Russian natural gas for Moldova will continue in the III and IV quarter of this year.
