OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2011. Belarus’ beer output increased 22.3% on the year in January-June 2011 to 21.856 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told reporters.

OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 7.116 million decaliters of beer, up 6.5% on the year.

OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 4.221 million decaliters of beer in January-June, an increase of 29.9% on the year.

Heineken Breweries produced 5.249 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 51.8% on the year, and JOJSC Rechitsapivo produced 270,300 decaliters of beer in January-June, down 38.6%. Both companies are controlled by Heineken Belarus.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 26.2% to 3.256 million decaliters.

OJSC Brest Beer produced 1.701 million decaliters of beer, up 29.5%.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 21.8% to 16.905 million decaliters, in glass bottles rose 23.9% to 3.457 million decaliters, in kegs increased 29% to 1.373 million decaliters and in cans fell 12% to 121,600 decaliters.

Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 25.4% on the year in January-June to 19.323 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went up 0.5% to 5.226 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went up 40.5% to 4.442 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales increased 22.5% to 2.842 million decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer went up 24.5% to 1.304 million decaliters, of Heineken Breweries increased 67.4% to 5.248 million decaliters and of Rechitsapivo dropped 43.8% to 223,160 decaliters.

Belarusian companies’ export of beer rose 73.7% to 3.196 million decaliters. Krinitsa’s exports rose 73.4% to 2.058 million decaliters, Lidskoe Pivo exported 381,300 decaliters, up 56%, Olivaria exported 113,700 decaliters, up 190% Brest Beer 412,700 decaliters, up 160%, and Dvinski Brovar 6,700 decaliters, down 4.1 times.

Heineken Breweries’ export rose 34.4% to 208,100 decaliters of beer, and Rechitsapivo export fell 41% to 16,200 decaliters.
