OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 3.5% no the month in July 2011, compared to 8.6% in June, 13.1% in May, 4.5% in April, 1.9% in March, 2.7% in February and 1.4% in January 2011, an official in the National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Prices increased 41% in January-July 2011, up from 4.4% in the first seven months of 2010.

Food prices rose 3.5% in July 2011 and 41.6% in January-July, non-food prices went up 4.5% and 52.3%, and consumer services prices increased 1.7% and 23.1%.

In 2010, inflation accelerated 9.9%. The forecast for 2011 stood at 7.5%-8.5%.
