OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2011. The Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member states till 2020 has been signed in St. Petersburg.

The program is directed on increase of competitiveness of national economies of the CIS countries at the expense of an effective use of innovations, to ensure sustainable and balanced economic growth, increasing science capacity productions, revival of trade under the free movement of goods, services, labour and capital. An intensification of cooperation in the field of innovations should lead to multiplicative and synergistic effects in the economic development of the CIS countries.

Henceforth, the states CIS can determine and implement in coordination technological priorities, implement objects of intellectual property in economic complex and so on. It will allow to improve the quality national goods and to reduce dependence on the export of goods with high value added.

According to the Head of the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization Volodymyr  Semynozhenko, the Interstate program of innovative cooperation will contribute to solving structural problems in the economies of the CIS countries, would remove a significant number of factors restricting economic growth, and would fill the bilateral cooperation within the limits of the CIS with the actual content.
