OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2011. The Curiosity Mars rover, a part of the U.S. Mars Science Laboratory space exploration station is fitted with a pulsed generator produced by the N.L. Dukhov All-Russia Research Institute of Automation (VNIIA).

Launched from Cape Canaveral November 26, the carrier rocket is to deliver Curiosity to Mars.

The scientific equipment of the rover includes the Dynamic Albedo of Neutrons (DAN) instrument designed by the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SRI RAS) under a contract from the Federal Space Agency in frames of an agreement with the NASA.
