OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2011. Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC) participated in the conference titled "Urgent problems of operative investigative activities in communication networks of the Russian Federation" (SORM-2011).  At the conference held in Moscow on December 8-9 with support of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation, Igor Lopukhov, commercial director, RTEC, made a presentation on building of the system for operative investigative activities (SORM) in data networks with RTEC equipment.

During his speech Igor Lopukhov presented RTEC's trusted products and solutions that can be used to set up infrastructure supporting operative investigative activities in service provider networks:  RSCB-X security platform, RS7750 MPLS service router, and social media monitoring system.  The RSCB-X security platform developed together with Crossbeam (U.S.) enables customers to maximize security level and to lower total cost of ownership through large-scale network consolidation and the reduction of energy consumption, as well as to increase system performance and scalability.

The RS7750 MPLS service router developed by the joint venture Alcatel-Lucent RT is a cost-efficient solution for service provider networks.  RS7750 has been optimized for high-performance networks. It supports traffic processing at wireline speeds and offers high quality of service to the customers.

"RTEC products are unique because they have been produced in the Russian Federation in collaboration with worldwide IT leaders, certified in accordance with Russian laws and tested against undeclared features and functions," explained Igor Lopukhov.  "Besides, they minimize operators' expenses related to mandatory infrastructure for operative investigative activities in the situation of continuous traffic growth and service proliferation".

The SORM-2011 conference was attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Communications, Russian Communications Agency (Rossvyaz), Roscomnadzor regulation agency, law enforcement institutions, service providers, integrators, research institutions and design bureaus, Russian and foreign vendors and other agencies and organizations.
