OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2012. UTair Aviation, one of Russia's leading airlines, continues to show significant growth.

UTair fixed-wing aircraft transported a total of 1,106,702 passengers in January and February, a YoY increase of 52%. Passenger turnover constituted 2,125,897.2 PKM, an increase of 59.4% over same period in 2011 and surpassing the industry average for growth in this indicator, which stands at 20.2% according to the Transport Clearing House.

In total, the UTair Group’s fixed wing aircraft logged 43,273 flight hours, 30.6% more than for the same period last year. UTair Group aircraft delivered 3,379.2 tons of cargo, 45.4% more than for the same period in 2011 and 688.2 tons of mail, 10.7% more than for the same period in 2011.

UTair Group helicopters logged a total of 17,952 flight hours, 36.1% more than for the same reporting period last year.

UTair KPI in the aforementioned categories represent a longer term growth trend that positions UTair as the most rapidly developing airline among the top-three Russian carriers.
