Gazflot’s Tanker to Supply Fuels at Port of Arkhangelsk
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2012. The Gazpromshelf, a bunkering tanker owned by LLC Gazflot in the next three months will be supplying bunker fuels at offshore anchorage area of the Port of Arkhangelsk, Gazflot said.
The Gazflot’s ship specializes in transportation and supply of fuels, other lubricants to offshore platforms, drilling rigs, pipe-laying ships and other marine facilities.
"Specifications of the Gazpromshelf enable the vessel to carry out such operations in the severe ice conditions. The vessel is equipped with special onboard fuel heating system and is able to sail in solid, 70cm-thick ice and has assisted the icebreakers escorting ships," the report said.
Over the past two years, the Gazpromshelf has carried more than 100,000 tons of fuel and lubricants for consumers in the Arctic. The last time the vessel supplied the drilling rig Prirazlomnaya in the Pechora Sea, and some offshore facilities in the Baidaratskaya Bay.
The vessel was built in 2008 at the Astrakhan-based Shipyard ‘Krasniye Barricady’
LLC Gazflot is a 100% owned subsidiary of Gazprom, formed in 1994 to assist in exploration work and development of offshore oil and gas deposits on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation. The Company provides a full range of work on the development of offshore gas fields, transportation of commodities by sea, as well as other marine solutions.
