Azerbaijan and Serbia Discuss Development of Economic Relations
OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2012. Today Baku hosts Azerbaijani- Serbian business forum organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and Serbian Trade Industrial Chamber.
At the form Serbian Ambassador in Azerbaijan Zoran Vayvovich reported that economic relations between the countries are not presently at such high level as political ones and the sides are going to develop relations in economic sphere as well.
"Composition of Serbian delegation at the forum includes about 15 companies, which arrived for WORLD FOOD International exhibition held in Baku. I am sure that the business forum will create opportunities for strengthening economic relations ",- the Ambassador said.
In his words, Azerbaijan and Serbia work on development of relations in agricultural, construction, foreign trade, electric equipment, computer technique, pharmaceutical and other fields.
" Relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan have started developing actively with creation of joint consortium on road construction in Serbia, and that is great achievement for us ",- the Ambassador said.
Z. Vayovich said that Azerbaijan officially started work on road construction in Serbia in April which is successfully going on at present.
The Ambassador also noted that the countries have great potential for tourism relations development, and Serbia would like to establish tourism relations with Azerbaijan.
In turn AZPROMO President Adil Mammadov said that the forum involves participation of reps from agricultural, construction and tourism spheres.
"That is a regular forum. The relations keep on developing and such events contribute to development and enhancement of current ties",- A. Mammadov said.
