OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. By the results of the annual International journalistic contest "PEGAS" "Best publication on the challenges of the Fuel and Energy Complex (FEC) of Russia in 2011" the journalists of TATNEFT were distinguished with high awards, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The press service staff of TATNEFT Company was awarded the top prize of the PEGAZ Contest - a bronze statuette of "PEGAZ Zlatokryly" (Gold-Winged Pegasus).

The first prize of the contest was awarded to the editorial staff of the "Neftyanye Vesti (Oil News)" newspaper in the nomination "Prize for the best material about a hero of labor of our time in a newspaper, magazine, television, radio and the Internet".

The team of TATNEFT television station was presented a special prize in the nomination "Prize for the best material about a hero of labor of our time in a newspaper, magazine, television, radio and the Internet."

The international contest has been held for the 18th consecutive time this year with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, "Rosatom", the State Corporation for Atomic Energy, "Gazprom", "TATNEFT" and other oil and gas and energy companies and organizations. The jury of the contest included Anatoly Yanovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovation Development and Entrepreneurship of the State Duma; Valery Yazev President of the Russian Gas Society; Alexei Kantorovich, Academician of RAS, Alexander Nekipelov, Vice-President of RAS; Gennady Schmal, President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia: Yasen Zasursky, Edward Sagalaev and other Masters of national journalism, as well as leaders of the Russian fuel and energy sector and representatives of science.

The aim of the "PEGAS" contest is attracting the attention of the general public, political, governmental and business organizations to the development problems of the fuel and energy complex of Russia through the mass media, as well as increasing the competence of journalists in covering the activities of the fuel and energy complex branches and consolidation of the journalists covering the issues of the FEC.

The contest holding has become a bright and interesting tradition promoting attraction of the public and authorities' awareness to the problems of one of the key sectors of the Russian economy. This contest is also one of the ways to identify the most talented, professional and competent representatives of the media.
