OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. Freight traffic passing through the Port of Nakhodka in January-June 2012 increased by 11% compared with the same period last year, to 8.33 million tons, the Port Authority said.

In the reporting period, handling of hard coal rose 19% to 2.07 million tons, exports of oil products rose by 7.2% to 3.51 million tons, container traffic surged by threefold compared to last year’s numbers, to 2,850 TEUs.

Russian Port of Nakhodka is located in the northern Bay of Nakhodka. The year-round navigable Port is connected via Trans-Siberian Railroad with the entire network of Russian and Western Europe’s railroads. In 2011, trade flows passing through Port of Nakhodka totaled 14.98 million tons.
