OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2012. MegaFon opens its visitor zones in Russia.Park and Sochi.Park in the Olypmic London. Visitors can give a touch to high technologies, learn more about Olympic Games and winter sports, meet famous Russian athletes and take part in various competitions.

Russia.Sochi.Park, the largest Russian site which will work during XXX Olympic Games, opens at Kensington Gardens, a district of London. Its work is organized with participation of Olympic Committee of Russia and Sochi2014 Organizing Committee. The site combines two spaces — Russia.Park and Sochi.Park, where special "MegaFon" zone operates in each of them.

In Sochi.Park visitors to MegaFon zone can joyfully spend their time by outplaying their friends in curling or bobsleigh in simulator games and learn interesting facts about preparation to the Olympic Games in Sochi.

A touch-screen video-wall installed in the special zone contains information on useful MegaFon services, famous athletes and winter sports. The visitors will also enjoy an interactive story on how the operator uses cutting-edge technologies for provision of comfort and security in Olympic Sochi. It can easily be seen how MeteoFon, a technology for monitoring weather conditions and prevention of natural emergency situations is being implemented in the future host-city of Winter Games, a unique video-monitoring system — Safe City — and multilingual information call-center which will provide Olympic visitors with over the phone translation services.

All visitors to Sochi.Park can play "Winter Stars" — a game of winter Olympic games. Visitors will not need joystick or remote control to play the game, a specially developed Kinect system reads body movements and transmits them to the screen where a character starts to move just like the depicted athlete.

XXII winter Olympic games in Sochi are just round the corner that is why MegaFon brings real winter to London, original concept of Winter games in summer will be presented in Russia.Park. In MegaFon zone there will be an ice-rink for figure skating, curling and hockey. All visitors can try to set their own sport record and play with champions — famous athletes will regularly visit MegaFon zone. There will be an interview, photo- and signing sessions with all celebrities.
