OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2012. A 160 MW turbogenerator designed for a combined cycle power plant being under construction at TPP-12 operated by Mosenergo OJSC has been manufactured, tested and handed over to the customer by Power Machines OJSC ahead of contractual terms. Upon completion of factory tests the turbogenerator has been packed and prepared for shipment. 

A contract to supply power generating equipment for a new 220 MW combined cycle power plant (CCPP) of TPP-12 operated by Mosenergo OJSC was signed in March 2011. In accordance with its terms Power Machines are to design, manufacture and supply a gas turbine GTE-160 complete with a 160 MW generator, a 73 MW steam turbine T-56/73, an 80 MW turbogenerator as well as auxiliary equipment for CCPP-220. Moreover, the responsibilities of Power Machines include installation and commissioning supervision services.

The equipment is due for delivery in March 2013. The new CCPP is to be put into operation in the end of 2013 – beginning of 2014. 

At present Power Machines are producing a second turbogenerator, which is to be completed in August this year.

The construction of CCPP-220 at Mosenergo’s TPP-12 is being implemented in accordance with a capacity supply agreement concluded in 2010. The main construction contractor is Mosenergo TPC, OJSC.
