OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2012. Club Enerji, Tata Power’s nationwide energy conservation movement led by school children, has been recently bestowed with two prestigious international awards.

One of the most prestigious regional awards in the Asia-Pacific region, the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Leadership Awards 2012 – International recognises and honours the achievements of enterprise leaders that are "doing good" by bringing together some of Asia-Pacific’s best leadership examples in the areas of sustainable development, corporate responsibility and / or corporate social responsibility. This year, the APELA 2012 - Eco Advocate Award has been conferred to Tata Power Club Enerji.

Club Enerji has also been recognised by International Business Awards 2012, known as Gold Stevie Awards, for the best Marketing Campaign of the Year 2012 – Energy category. The Stevie Awards were created to honour and generate public recognition for the achievements and positive contributions of organisations and working people worldwide.

Moreover, Club Enerji has also been shortlisted as a BestPrax for presentation at the international forum in Auckland in December 2012 by the BestPrax Rating Committee at the Qimpro-BestPrax Conclave 2012.

Speaking on the recognition, Anil Sardana, managing director, Tata Power, said, “We are happy to see Club Enerji being felicitated on a global platform once again. The programme has been very well received by school children and has become a national movement. We are now aiming to raise the bar and take the programme to a higher level of inculcating resource conservation and moral and civic values in these children.”

Club Enerji has also been recognised for the Best Marketing Campaign of the Year by CMO Asia Awards 2011 and Most Innovative Campaign at USA’s The Energy Daily’s 2010 Leadership Awards. In November 2010, Club Enerji was bestowed with the Gold Award by the Association of Business Communicators of India in the Environmental Communications category and was ranked number 2, out of 22 entries, in the Earth Care category of Siemens Ecovative Award 2010.
