Afonin, representatives of OJSC Severstal, OJSC Evraz NTMK, OJSC NLNK, OJSC MMK, OJSC VSW, OJSC Azovstal Iron and Steel Works, OJSC Seversk Pipe Plant, OJSC Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant, OJSC Uralmash, OJSC Magnezit, Danieli, BSE, SIEMENS VAI, TECHCOM GmbH, etc.

VSW Executive Director Sergei Fillipov said, “It is both responsible and honorary for the company and plant to hold an event of such a level. We have achievements that we are proud of and are happy to demonstrate to our guests. Over the past seven years, United Metallurgical Company has boasted the industry’s most advanced and high-capacity production facilities constructed on Vyksa premises: the Casting and Rolling Complex and Mill-5000 metallurgical complex. I am sure that the exchange of experiences will have a positive impact on the development of the industry as a whole.”

Chairman of Management Board of the Russian Association of Steelmakers Konstantin Kosyrev said, “The congress is a major event in the metallurgical sphere. As a rule, it is held in one of five cities, including such industrial giants as Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. This year, Vyksa was chosen. It was chosen not only because the local metallurgical plant is turning 255, but also because new technologies have been actively developed here. We thank OMK for our warm reception and excellent event arrangement.”

Following the congress, the best presenters, including specialists from the VSW Engineering and Technology Center, were awarded. Reports for the 12th International Congress of Steelmakers will be published as scientific work integrating the efforts of metallurgists in research and practical activities aimed at creating favorable conditions for industry development.
