OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, adjusted to inflation, it increased 3.2% as compared with last September. In the budget sector the average salary was 3123.1 leis, 10.5% up as compared with September, 2011. In the real sector it grew 7.4% to 3555.7 leis.

The lowest wages were given to fishery workers in September, 2012; their average wage amounted to1622.2 leis, 10.1% up as compared with the same period of the past year. The average wages in agriculture and forestry grew 7% to 2390 leis. Wages in hotel and restaurant business remain low too. In this September they were close to 2588.7 leis, 14.7%.

The average wage was 2864.9 leis (+2.1%) in education and 2957.2 leis (+6.6%) in trade. The highest wages were paid to workers of the banking sector and averaged 6129.7 leis in September, 2012, 2.2% up as compared with September, 2011. The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5091.6 leis, 1.7% down.

It was 4154 leis (12.2% up) at transport and communication companies. The average wage was 4137.8 leis (27.1% up) in the public administration institutions and 4245.4 leis (5.8% up) at realtor companies.
