OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2012. Federal Grid’s 2011 annual report won the Best Annual Report Award in the category “Best annual report in the non-financial sector” at the 14th Annual Report Award. The award ceremony was held 15 November in Moscow as part of the 9th Annual Practical Conference “Annual Report: Leaders’ Experience and New Standards.”

More than 100 companies took part in the competition; most of which are included in Expert Rating Agency’s list of 400 major companies in Russia. The best annual reports for 2011 were selected in accordance with Expert Rating Agency’s integral criteria method.

The Award’s goal is to increase information transparency, to present and promote best corporate governance practices, and to upgrade investment attractiveness for joint stock companies and other organizations taking part in the competition.

Federal Grid pays special attention to its information policy development, which is mostly focused on maximal information for existing and potential investors regarding the Company’s priority development directions and maintaining strict compliance with information disclosure regulations.

It is worth noting that Federal Grid has won numerous national annual report awards. In 2011, the company’s annual report was honored with the Federal Annual Report and Corporate Web Site Award organized by Securities Market Magazine and Russia’s Ministry of Finance for Best Annual Report in the Energy Sector.
